Giving money as a part of worship in church?

There are a number of schools of thought with regard to giving money in our modern churches. In all of the churches that I have been involved in, following the praise and worship, monetary offerings are requested and given at this time. Often, the presenter will say "your offering is a part of your worship to God." Though this essential is true, I do believe that this monetary offering to God is not the concern of the church and should not be interwoven with the pure and essential praise we offer to God. Connecting the giving of money with the praise that we offer with our instruments, voices and dance, is a little obscene and causes me to reflect on the moment when Jesus threw the traders of money out of the temple. Should we not separate the stewardship of the increase God has given us, from the praise and glory we offer to his name?
